Management Team

Elisabete Miranda, President

Elisabete Miranda joined Translation Plus in 1994, assuming responsibility for business development and in-house operations. In March of 2004, she was became President and was charged with the strategic objective of growing the firm's client base in key industries. Elisabete's business management experience spans almost 20 years across several industries.

Over the course of 9 years with a prominent Brazilian bank, she held several management positions such as Treasurer, Acquisition Department Supervisor, and Human Resource Manager. During that time she also served as Chairwoman for CIPA and was elected President of the Employee's Association for three consecutive terms. She spent the next 6 years as Regional Manager for a chain of restaurants. She also served two consecutive terms as Executive Director for the local Commerce and Trade Association. Currently, she is the Chair of the Public Relations Committee for The Association of Language Companies (ALC). Elisabete attended business school in Brazil and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a double major in International Business and Management from Montclair State University.

Fabio Oliveira, Production Manager

Fabio joined Translation Plus in 2007 to take on the position of Production Manager, working with the management team to improve procedures while maintaining the company’s historically high quality standards. As the localization industry becomes increasingly technology-oriented, Fabio’s incisive analytical and technical skill set allows Translation Plus to best utilize the most current technologies available in the field.

He brings over seven years of technical and managerial experience with Future House Automation and Security. As the Operations Manager there, he developed a strong background in project management and analysis, as well as client interface. Fabio’s major areas of responsibility with Translation Plus include supervising the production management team, analyzing and improving procedures and creating more efficiency.

An engineer by training, Fabio is fluent in English and Portuguese and also speaks Spanish. He gained extensive experience as a linguist and technical reviewer of localization projects for companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Nokia, EMC, and HP while working with Lionbridge /Bowne Global Solutions.

Fabio graduated from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – PUC-Rio with a degree in Electronics Engineering and has completed studies in Computer Programming and Business Management. He has a great interest in language and world culture, and has traveled throughout much of South America, as well as the US and Canada.

Carmen Estrada, Client Relations Manager

Carmen started working with Translation Plus in 2004. With a strong background in sales and with 12 years of comprehensive experience in business management and marketing, most recently with Stauff Corporation, a German manufacturer of hydraulic accessories, and previously as an international sales consultant for Stylecrest Fabrics, Carmen brings a unique blend of management and business savvy to Translation Plus.

Carmen attended the Wirtschaftsgymnasium Koblenz, Germany, where she majored in Business Administration. She also graduated from FIDM San Francisco, Ca, and is certified in Computer Graphics. Besides being fluent in German (mother-tongue), Portuguese, Spanish and English, Carmen has traveled extensively throughout Europe and South/Central America and is very experienced at interacting in multicultural environments.
